Worthy Brewing

Worthy of its namesake

Est. 2013, Bend

Worthy Brewing Co. broke ground on Feb. 24, 2012 off U.S. Highway 20 on Bend’s east side. It’s Bend’s 1st east side brewery, complete with and a beer garden, hop garden, hopservatory (yes an actual observatory), and crazy wood to boot! What is crazy wood you ask? Well, you can read about it all you want on their website, or better yet, stop by to see for yourself! Indie Hops co-founder Roger Worthington assembled an all-star team including Chad Kennedy, from Laurelwood Brewing and Chris Hodge, from Columbia Distribution, to lead the charge – no expense was spared in this full production brewpub! Worthy maintains an “earth first, beer second” mantra and is actively involved in environmental causes throughout the state of Oregon, check out Worthy Environmental for more.

In 2018, they expanded to Downtown Bend with a taco joint “Taps and Tacos”, which later became “Beers and Burgers”, no doubt because you could hold both a beer and a burger way easier. Tacos, beer, and river view? Yes please. Today you can find Brewers Jordan Davis and Zane Tarabochia-Martin crafting award winning beers like Lights Out Stout, Worthy Pilsner, and Strata Indie Pale. The brewpub has become a community hub for outdoor live music, group get togethers, and seeing the stars on a clear, crisp Bend, Oregon night.

Q&A

Beers are great, but can ya make me [an] orgasm? Yep! And if you play your cards right you’ll get a nice moon shot too!
Should I bring the kiddos? Yep, kids of all ages welcome.
I want my MTV,  can I get my basic cable on, maybe watch some foozball? Oh alright, you can watch TV, but if you show up at just the right time, you can watch the brewer brew.
Got any tips? Ask for a tour.
Walk, bike, or drive? It’s on the east side of town with copious parking spots, because you’re gonna have to drive.
Last one – Is there like a locals night or something? Not yet!
