Wild Ride Brew

Who’s up for a Wild Ride?

Est. 2014, Redmond & Prineville

Twenty years after Redmond’s first brewery, local Brian Mitchell comes in hot to stake a claim on the Central Oregon brewery scene with Kona Brewing alumn Paul Bergeman. Together they made a great impact within the community and played their part in revitalizing the downtown Redmond scene. The focus was simple, make great beer. A purpose built brewery and tap room right downtown for the people. Food? Does beer count? Actually, in Oregon no, ya kinda need food. But they knew, and the lot out front was perfect for that.

While the original head brewer stepped away in 2019, great beer was still to be had. Mike “Curly” White, who kick started the McMenamin’s expansion to Bend in 2004, put the pedal to the metal Wild Ride style. With Redmond well situated, in 2022 the team pointed the wheels to a much underserved town and planted roots in Prineville, where other breweries had made the same attempt. With a long list of accolades, delicious – yummy beers like “Nut Crusher Peanut Butter Porter” and a team that is driven with a passion for community, beer, and yeah, classic cars, it’s no wonder Wild Ride is a Central Oregon favorite.

Q&A

I’m risk adverse, is there an easy ride or something? Buckle up buddy, you gotta be at least this tall and 21+ to hop in.
Should I bring a growler to the brewery? I like your style, why road pop when you can road growler. Yep, tap room for pints and fills.
I’m done wrenching on this Plymouth and ready for a cold one, what should I get? A Cole’s Light Lager should hit the spot, but if you’re dealing with wiring issues, have a Nut Crusher.
Got any tips? Have a picnic, they have tables and beer.
Walk, bike, or drive? If you have something loud with 6 cylinders that guzzles gas like you do beer, drive! And then Uber home.
Last one – Is there like a locals night or something? Keep an eye out for Pint Nights – pints for a cause, usually on Thursdays!
