Consistently inconsistent posts about the craft beers in this tiny town of Bend, Oregon. JK, Bend is a city now, and the beer scene is more than just about one place in Central Oregon. Good beer is being made all around us. While the craft beer fever has subsided with the prescription of wine bars, cocktail lounges, and the ability to legally hit the store for some fine Oregon Jazz Cabbage, my interest in craft beer remains. So cheers to the Central Oregon brewers.
Here’s to perhaps posting on a more regular-ish basis. A seven year gap between posts, oof, my b.

Out with the old and in with the new right? Well in this case it’s out with the old tenant, which also happened to be a brewpub: Oblivion Brewing – which by the way is still crafting most excellent brew.
Prineville’s full-service brewery is growing! They’re moving down the street to a larger location with more food, more space, and of course more beer.
With Halloween just around the corner, thoughts of cool fall evenings over at O’Kanes come to mind.
With the summer drawing to a close in Central Oregon, craft beer aficionados are now looking forward to the next round of early Fall festivals which traditionally feature Märzen style and fresh hopped beers.

The BendBrewFest, Bend’s epic beer event is just around the corner. August 13-16 means four days of serious craft beer drinking.
After nearly four years of serving great-tasting beer in Prineville, Solstice Brewing will now be known as Ochoco Brewing Company.
Looking forward to this event once again! Central Oregon Beer Week has grown in scope and is now in it’s 4th year! Managed by myself, Ryan Sharp, and Miles Wilhelm – It’s for sure a passion project.
It’s going to be a great weekend for craft beer in Bend, Oregon! First, The High Desert Museum Opening reception for their latest exhibit “Brewing Culture – The Craft of Beer” featuring breweries from Central Oregon and beyond!
Hoppy Holidays! Another great year for the craft beer industry in Bend, from the start of two new breweries in Redmond (Juniper, Wild Ride), and two in Bend (North Rim, Monkless), Boneyard Beer’s new “RPM Factory”, a new addition to the two man, one woman crew over at Oblivion, the purchase of 10 Barrel Brewing by ABInBev, and the recent news of Bend being the #1 Beer City – it’s been exciting!

There’s no doubt that Central Oregon has a good amount of breweries – Bend alone is currently home to 18 of them.
Only four days before the 2014 Central Oregon Beer Week kicks off! There’s lots going on this year – lots of main events for sure.
