Spring has sprung and Summer is just around the corner – kinda! Of all the breweries in town, GoodLife is your only bet to enjoy a nice cold pint while chillin’ at a Beirgarten on a warm summers day. But while their Beirgarten is not quite ready, the brewers are preparing with their latest “Comatose Imperial IPA”.

It’s shaping up to be a good summer.

Here’s an excerpt from their official release

GoodLife Brewing Company Set to Release Comatose Imperial IPA

(Bend, OR- April 26, 2012) Mother Nature’s seasons are amazing, where all her creations flux between an existence in winter’s comatose state, spring’s colorful fling, summer’s hot dance, and fall’s laidback swing.  The creative juices of musicians jump from an unconscious, winter mindset spurring you to think concerts, road trips, and campsites.  One sip of this beer will get your blood flowing as you jam to your favorite tunes!

Weighing in at 9.5% and measuring 95 IBUS, Comatose is a triple dry hopped, Imperial IPA. This heavyweight has over 5 lbs. of hop per barrel, which makes the aroma smell of strong orange candy followed by citrus and spice. The beer continues jabbing the taste buds with a taste of biting into a fresh grapefruit with a balanced malt character that finishes strong and clean. Ding, ding, ding… TKO!

Comatose will be available in 1/6 barrels and 1/2 barrels on Monday, April 31st. GoodLife is throwing a release party on Saturday, April 28th in their brewery.

Cheers!
